Westside Sessions shoots performance videos of independent local bands and shares them online for all to enjoy, because we are true fans of songwriting and the largely forgotten art of performing music. We will upload new Sessions every Friday, so tune in to find out what’s new in LA independent music. Never a cover song, cover charge, or two-drink minimum!

Sessions

We provide the equipment, technical know-how, and studio space (on the Westside, of course), then record the session and put it on our website where other users can comment on the recording. Our goal is to expand fan bases and reach audiences who otherwise would not hear, let alone see, the performance. We also hope to add “live” events in the future, both in-studio and at-venue, where fans can tune in to stream music events as they happen.

If you don’t live in LA, we’d still like to help promote your music. Shoot your own session, upload it to video hosting site of your choice (YouTube, Revver, Meta-Cafe…etc), and send us the URL link to your video, then we will list it as a ‘Share’ on our site.

Forum

We are huge fans of songwriting and music performance. We like the product, but we love the process. Hopefully, this forum will become a place to discuss the performers on this site, as well as music in general as an art form.
